Agile is great for Software development and reporting. The method is a boon to teams and leaders who truly wish to deliver great apps for their organisation. I have been looking at how this fits in with RUP CMMI COBIT and ITIL. Its a fit - but significant change needs to be driven through traditional work ethics and boundaries. There is no place for #watchers# - only #doers#. I would recommend that workers read through this lightweight Project and Programme methodology and grasp the mettle of its mantra.

Staff and Organisation size based on ITIL v3
The Buchanan Model for ITIL bound organisations
The general upshot is that you need at least 50 plus IT staff in your organisation to make ITIL v3 work efficiently. What is interesting is that organisations up to 1000 FTEs should leverage outsourced support, or, invest inhouse in a team that compares favorably with your business.
After sending some of my colleagues on ITILv3 courses I was asked the question by my CEO how many people does it take to change a lightbuld in an ITIL enabled organisiation? So I sat down and worked it out......I also did a baseline ITIL v3 Organisation Chart based on the current standard.
